Hello From New Mexico

February 25, 2019

Wowww it has been a busy week! I have had some really amazing experiences so far here in Silver City, New Mexico!
So my first lesson I EVER taught, was with audrie... She has been taking lessons for a couple months and wants to get baptized once she finishes the lessons. During the lesson we were talking about prayer. We read Moronis promise at the end of the book of mormon, and she started crying and sad she knew it was true more than ever! The spirit was soooo strong! She is getting baptized on March 9th and is just so happy. I am so excited for her. She is golden! When we taught word of wisdom a couple days later, she just decided right away that she would stop drinking coffee! She is so ready and excited and has told us some cool stories about standing up for her faith even though her husband is against our church.
My absolute favorite person is brother quinn! He moved here on a promoting (basically just to get baptized) and he is soooo close to being ready. His wife is a member and all his kids have been on missions but he's never wanted anything to do with it until recently. My companion has been teaching him for the last 4 months, so since the beginning of him being taught. He is very analytical and it takes him a long time to be sure about things but he is getting so close.  Him and his wife are so kind to us and I just loveeee our lessons.

Also every thursday morning, we help scoop horse poop at a horse ranch that saves horses here in new mexico. I was dreading it at first but it was actually one of my highlights of the week because we get to be outside for about 2 hours in the morning and the horses are so cute and nice.
Also I spoke in church yesterday at the mimbres branch, and there was a congregation of 7 people! Including the people on the stand! So tiny haha

It has been an amazing week and I've had amazing experiences already! It's been super cold and snowy here, which is kind of weird since I've been preparing for the AZ heat, but I'm loving it out here. Also we drive a big truck which is fun :)
I've loved getting your emails! Reading emails before bed seriously makes me so happy, so thanks :)
Love you all!!
