Hermana Chadwick

March 25, 2019

Hellllooooo! What a week it's been!
Today we got to go to the Gila Valley temple! Since we are two hours away we had to make today our Pday instead of yesterday, and take Pday to go. It was soooo nice though, I loved being there :)

We had exchanges with the Hermanas this week! My companion was Hemana Luna (she is soooo sweet!) and I got be Hermana Chadwick for the day! We were down in Deming New Mexico and it was way different. There was only one lesson that was 100% in Spanish, and even though I couldn't say much, I actually understood quite a bit so that was cool!

We did a lottttt of service this week too. We are still scooping horse poop every week... but this week a horse ran out of the gate while we were heading in and got into the other horse area and started running all over the place and all the horses went completely nuts and it got prettty interesting. We've also been helping people with their gardens, cleaning the church and people houses, working at food pantries and soup kitchens... just lots of good service stuff :)

We also had some MIRACLES this week! A couple weeks ago I was going through area book and looking at the people who we weren't teaching anymore. I found a guy that the missionaries had a baptismal date with at one point but he just got too busy so they stopped teaching him. This was 7 years ago! We were finally able to have a lesson with him on Sunday and he was explaining the trials the missionaries got him through 7 years ago, and realized that he's going through almost those same trials again and we showed up! He started crying becuase he just knew that God loved him and had a plan for him. Soooo cool

The other super awesome miracle is about CJ! CJ is dating a member in the YSA group and just finished taking the lessons! We invited him to read the Book of Mormon and pray every day about baptism and he got his answer! He wants the be baptized ASAP! We set the date for the weekend after general confrence! Soooooooo happy for him!!

Brother Quinn is also way close to baptism. He is just hung up on a couple little things right now. But, every talk on Sunday was perfect for him! He leaned over and asked if we set it up! They were just spot on! We are praying lots and lots for him as hes getting closer and closer to being ready.

Anyways, sorry for the long email this week, but there have just been too many good things this week! But with every high point it seems like theres a low one. I had my first full on breakdown of the mission... just not feeling good enough for all of this, but with a little prayer and a great companion, I realized that it was just the adversary trying to get me down becuase I got big things to do! I'm feeling motivated and better than ever!

Thanks so much for all the support!
Love, sister chadwick
