May 13, 2019   Hello friends! I've had an amazing week!! (besides the dead cockroach in my shoe this morning) The highlight was being able to go to Tucson for my graduation from training!  I got to see allllll my cute friends and have a really good meeting:) I also had a fun dinner with a member in sister curtis's first area. I'm officially not a greenie anymore! Hard to beleive I've been in the field for 12 weeks already!  We also got our transfer cheese! And I found out why it's called transfer cheese! The word for "gossip" in spanish is "chisme" which sounds a lot like cheese so I guess that's where they got it.... but anyways, me and sister curtis are staying!!! May 6, 2019 WE HAD THE BEST WEEK!! First of all, we did sooo many fun things! We played ultimate frisbee, we were in a trio for a day, we ate free big macs, we attacked the elders with nerf guns, ate some moldy cheesecake at a members house.... alllllllllll the fun things! But! We also had some major breakthroughs with the people we are teaching!!! ⭐The BEST thing ever happened!!! Brother Quinn is READY TO BE BAPTIZEDDDD!!!! After 6 months of missionary lessons and 50 years of marriage to a member he is readyyyyyyyy!!! It was soooo amazing!! There were sooo many miracles that led into this, but to keep it short... he said his first "sincere heart, with real intent" prayer and at the SAME TIME we were planning his lesson and knew that we should take it in a totally different direction and we ended up saying exactly what he needed to hear and answered the exact question he had prayed so hard about that day!! April 29, 2019 Hellooooooo! Wow! I am just one happy girly! We have been busyyyyyyyy this week! We've just been super motivated to shape up silver city!  Side note- I realize more and more every day how weird this place is. There are just a lot of weird people here. It's a good time. But we had a fun week! We went on exchanges, one of the people we are teaching brought his bird outside for us to see, we ate some ice cream, met some cool people, killed some spiders, and we had a really cool thing happen at the branch we cover! So sister curtis and I cover two wards and a branch... and our branch is like supppppeeerrr tiny. There are literally 9 people that come... so it's called a "twig" instead of a branch sometimes..... But anyways! We started teaching someone and invited her to church about a month ago and she came! And she loved it! April 22, 2019 This week has been busy busy busy! We've done about 12 hours of service in the past week! its been pretty good though becuase at one of the service projects we were able to talk to a lady who has been super interested in the book of mormon (so we gave her one of course) , and we ran into a lady who left the church a long time ago and has been wanting to come back! So we are going to meet with her this week! So those were some cool experiences! I also had the nice surprise of going to eat breakfast yesterday and having all of my food infested with ants.... so that wasnt very good   Weve also had a spider in our apartment at least once a week this week so I think Gods trying to toughen me up or something    This morning we had an especially traumatic experience with what we call the zombie spider. April 15, 2019 Holy Guacamole! Where do I begin??? I've had the most insanely wonderful week! I am just so happy! First of all, I love love love LOVE sister curtis! We have just been getting along so well and working so well together! It's been reallllllly good! Also! We had stake confrence this week and a member of the seventy came and just did an incredible job! It was halarious becuase right before the Saturday adult session, we had a lesson with Brother Quinn and he was really upset about the fact that missionaries dont get enough credit...  then the whole session was about missionaries and how great they are! It was so funny and Brother Quinn had a big smile on his face! The member of the seventy even took time to talk to Brother Quinn, and he referred to himself as a "future member"!
